I joined the #RIPTwitter movement today, after receiving notice that my archives were ready. I downloaded over 15 years' worth of content on two accounts, and deactivated both accounts.
It's a sad day, but it had to be done. Well, some say it didn't have to; and they're right. It was my choice. It's a choice I felt I had to make.
In other news, I've set up an account over on Mastodon. Yeah, it's funny that I joined a server named "ravenation dot club." I do want to produce some EDM (especially uplifting trance) but I do so much more than electronic music. Oh well. It was the only server under the Music heading when I signed up.
Lastly, I saw a post on Facebook from an artist looking for local musicians to join them in playing their recorded music live. I checked out the music and it seemed interesting…if a little woozy with astrology and occult references. I could have dealt with that, but I decided to check out the artist's social media pages. I'm glad I did, because right there on Twitter (just before I quit), I browsed through the person's anti-vaxxer tweets and retweets. No thanks.
